Queensland and South Australia will keep their borders closed to Victoria, as the state recorded another 64 cases of coronavirus.
South Australian Premier Steven Marshall said on June 30 the state won’t proceed with plans to open its border to Victoria on July 20.
“The transition committee is still considering opening our borders with NSW & ACT on that date,” he said on Twitter.
“This decision will be difficult for those with loved ones in Victoria but we can’t risk South Australia going backwards.”
The decision comes as the whole country looks at Victoria’s recent increase in coronavirus cases with concern.
