Theories Abound Over Why Harris Is Floundering in Her Home State

News Analysis “Why is Kamala Harris not 50 points ahead in the polls?” you might ask. That’s at least one question Harris supporters and Democratic strategists have been pondering since the U.S. senator’s recent plunge in popularity. The latest polls do not bode well for the U.S. senator even in her home state. A Real Clear Politics poll conducted Oct. 3 shows Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren with 23 percent of the projected vote in the California Democratic primary race, followed by former Vice President Joe Biden at 22 percent, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders at 21 percent and Harris at a distant eight percent. South Bend, Ind. Mayor Pete Buttigieg is two points behind her. Nationally, the Real Clear Politics average shows Harris trailing Buttigieg at under five percent—a drop of…

Police in California are looking for a woman and her three children after they were possibly kidnapped by a relative.

The four were named as Liliana Lopez, 29, and her kids Jakob Cabrera, 9, Steven Matthew Lopez, 6, and Stephana Lopez, 5.

The suspect was named as 28-year-old Esteban Lopez. While confirming he’s related to Liliana Lopez, police didn’t state his exact relationship with her or her children.

Police were called to a house in Sylmar on Oct. 9 and discovered the possible kidnapping. The names and photographs were released late Monday as officials asked for members of the public to come forward with information.

“On Oct. 9, 2019, around 9:27 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department police officers responded to a radio call in the 13600 block of Fellows Avenue and their investigation revealed that a possible kidnapping had occurred. We are searching for four possible victims of a kidnapping and a fifth individual who may be the suspect in the abduction. The following information provides descriptions of the individuals involved and we would appreciate any information that would aid in locating them,” the department said in a press release.

Esteban Lopez was described as a Hispanic male standing 5 feet 8 inches, weighing 180 pounds, with a tattoo of “Lopez” on his chest. Liliana Lopez was described as a Hispanic female standing 5 feet 2 inches and weighing 135 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Neighbors told ABC 7 that Esteban Lopez was at the home hanging out with friends on Saturday night but they haven’t seen Liliana Lopez or her children for some time.

One neighbor told KTLA that there was a restraining order taken out against Esteban Lopez. Police have not confirmed that assertion.
