Illegal Immigrant Charged With Double Homicide In Louisiana Stabbings

Courage and Culture: Defending Civilization

Recently, the students at Gregory the Great Academy in Pennsylvania held their annual Robin Hood Days in a forest on the school grounds. For three days, the boys camped out without tents—it rained the first night—and fired off arrows, wrestled, hiked in the woods, cooked by campfire, heard tales of Robin Hood, sang old folk songs, and gathered for morning and evening prayer and a church service. The academy offers several similar events throughout the year, designed in part to test the boys and help forge them into men. Though only some 60 students attend St. Gregory’s, the school has won several state championships in soccer and rugby. And in addition to the classical education they receive, these young men study such subjects as art, carpentry, music, and animal husbandry.…

Illegal Immigrant Charged With Double Homicide In Louisiana Stabbings

An illegal immigrant from El Salvador faces multiple felony charges in Louisiana after allegedly murdering his girlfriend and her sister, and wounding two of his siblings, with knives.

The St John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office (SJSO), in a statement detailed the allegations against 23-year-old Oscar Urias. On Oct. 25, at a residence in LaPlace, Louisiana, Urias, along with his 31-year-old girlfriend, her 15-year-old sister, his 17-year-old sister, and 15-year-old brother, were talking in the living room when Urias went into the bedroom and emerged wearing a mask and wielding two knives.

Urias then allegedly stabbed his girlfriend, Elizabeth Tornabene, to death, before stabbing his own sister, wounding her critically.

“As Elizabeth’s sister and Urias’ brother fled the house, Urias chased them and managed to capture Elizabeth’s sister, stabbing her in an open garage,” SJSO stated. The stabbing took place in the garage of a nearby home, with the 63-year-old homeowner telling NOLA.com that, after he ordered his wife and grandchildren to hide in an upstairs bedroom, he heard Urias kill the girl.

“I looked him in his eyes. He looked like the devil,” the homeowner told the outlet.

The sheriff’s office said Urias was taken into custody after police confronted him at the nearby residence.

“Officers located Urias in the garage, ordered him to drop the knives, and he surrendered to police,” SJSO stated.

“This was a vicious attack,” St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Michael Tregre told NOLA.com. “This is probably the top, worst that I’ve seen in my 32 years of law enforcement.”

Urias has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) official Bryan Cox confirmed to Breitbart News that Urias is an illegal immigrant from El Salvador who entered the United States as an Unaccompanied Alien Child (UAC) in March 2012.

“Urias was previously encountered by the U.S. Border Patrol in March 2012 near Hidalgo, Texas, after illegally entering the U.S.,” Cox told the outlet. “He was issued a Notice to Appear and later released to a sponsor in May 2012. Due to policies in place at that time applicable to unaccompanied minors, his immigration proceedings were administratively closed on Sep. 29, 2016.”

Cox told the outlet that ICE would seek to take Urias into its custody if he was released from criminal custody and that the agency would work on getting him deported.

Authorities have not announced a motive for the attack.
