Xi Stirs up Nationalistic, Anti-Us Sentiment During Korean War Anniversary Speech

Chinese leader Xi Jinping delivered a lengthy, high-profile address at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to mark the 70th anniversary of the Korean War. The Chinese regime refers to it as the “War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea.” Xi’s speech came after China’s state broadcaster CCTV finished airing a 20-episode documentary series on the conflict.   Major Cleveland of the 2nd Inf. An Orange County Halloween Amid COVID: Q&A

IRVINE, Calif.—Halloween will look a little different this year amid health restrictions. The Centers for Disease Control has called trick-or-treating a “higher risk activity” and suggests it be avoided.

Some family favorite events in Orange County, such as the annual Treats in the Streets in Orange, are cancelled. But others have emerged, such as the drive-thru Urban Legends Haunt at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

The Epoch Times asked some Orange County residents what they’re doing for Halloween this year.

Lynda Baker, Orange

“I wish I could tell you we were doing something unique and creative this year, but we are keeping our traditions pretty much the same—dressing up, running by the grandparents so they can see the kids dressed up, and hitting up a few of our neighbors to trick-or-treat. It will definitely be interesting this year!

“Last year, we went down the street near the Orange Circle where almost every house for blocks hands out candy; it’s like a mini street fair, totally packed. We will not be doing that this year. So we will see where the night takes us.”

Eugene Fields, Orange

“We normally take our daughter to the Treats in the Streets, as well as participating in trick-or-treating throughout Old Towne Orange on Halloween night. [This year,] we’re still going to dress up for Halloween and do some drive-thru events, as well as set up trick-or-treat stations inside our home.”

“Just chill and stay home and maybe watch some college football. I’ll do something outdoors; maybe I’ll go surfing. I’d consider giving out candy on Halloween night, but I don’t know what the rules are for our city in Irvine.”

“Drive-thru events are really popular right now, so my friends, boyfriend, and I are going to do the Halloween drive-thru at the OC Fairgrounds on Halloween. It should be awesome!”

Tessa Darley, Irvine

“So far I haven’t had any firm plans, but I might be going out to a couple of parties, but I’m not exactly sure.”

“We would really like to be giving out candy and have the door open for trick-or-treaters, but right now I think we’re looking at a couple of folks over. Maybe hit up the hot tub … and just kind of take it easy.”

Kayla Liggins, Irvine

“Not too sure. I could be going to a party, or I could be doing homework. It’s still up in the air.”

China Insider: Evidence of Genocide Exposed by CCP’s Internal Documents

The Epoch Times recently obtained a document classified as “top secret” by Chinese authorities. It exposed that China’s judicial and public security systems have been committing the crime of genocide against Falun Gong practitioners for nearly 20 years. The document is a “judicial opinion” jointly issued on Nov. 30, 2000 by five departments: the Supreme Court, the Supreme Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Security, and the Ministry of Justice. It clearly stipulated that “political and legal departments at all levels must resolutely implement the important instructions of” then Party leader Jiang Zemin to crack down on Falun Gong, and listed various charges and punishments targeting different actions of Falun Gong practitioners. For instance, when Falun Gong practitioners print and distribute Falun Gong flyers, the charge…
